Q. Does the Flora Health Network
recommend my doctor for treatment?
The directories do not constitute a recommendation of
any hospital, physician or other health care provider. The
providers listed in the directories are independent contractors and
Flora Health Network is not responsible for health care provided or the
omission, delay or unavailability of health care by these providers.
The listings are subject to change. More current information may
be obtained by calling your provider or the Flora Health Network
customer service department at (216) 642-8575 (outside Cleveland at
800-966-0200).
Q. Will my insurance company cover
all the providers included in the directories?
Health care plans vary. Thus the directories do
not guarantee that all services or all providers will be covered under
your health care plan. Failure to verify your plan design or
network status may result in non-reimbursed medical expenses.
Q. Will all services that are
provided at an in-network hospital facility be in Flora Health
Network?
Some hospital based providers such as emergency
departments, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and pathologists rendering
services at network hospitals may not be members of Flora Health
Network. Also, hospitals in the network may provide additional
services such as mammograms, urgent care services, laboratory, home
health care, etc. as part of their agreement with Flora Health Network.
For further information on these and other services, please contact your
local hospital.
Q. If I have labwork or surgery
done at my doctor's office, will it be treated as in-network?
If your physician performs labwork in their office and
bills your insurance company under their federal tax ID number it will
be treated as in-network. But some of the Flora Health Network
providers may provide services that are not part of the Flora Health
Network (i.e., surgical procedures in a doctor's surgical suite).
Please contact the provider's office to determine how services will be
billed. Contact your benefits office to determine if your coverage
is affected.
Q. Will I be required to obtain a
referral to a specialist?
Referrals for specialty care are not required by Flora
Health Network, however, your plan may have requirements.
Q. Do the Directories include
every physician I can go to within Flora Health Network?
The Directories represent only one portion of the
entire Flora Health Network. Additional providers are located
throughout Ohio and portions of Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania and West
Virginia. Flora Health Network's customer service department can
advise you of providers, by specialty, in any given county. You
may also nominate a provider for membership by contacting us or your
physician.
