cost effective medical PPO network and related services to Third Party
Administrators (TPAs) and Commercial Insurance Carriers. Flora Midwest does
not determine risk, set premiums, or determine benefit eligibility.
The Flora Health Network began operations in 1993 as a division of
American SelectCare. Acquired by PPOM in 1998, the Flora Midwest now
operates as an independent operating subsidiary of PPOM.
As one of a selected number of PPOs with Commission/URAC Health Network
accreditation, PPOM stands apart from the rest. Headquartered in Michigan,
PPOM manages and delivers the Flora Health Network as one of its primary
group health product offerings in the state of Ohio.
With its regional office in Cleveland, Ohio -- PPOM now
offers access to both the PPOM and Flora Health Networks. Combined
membership exceeds over 1.2 million members.
